A wonderful range of colours in the 2025 dahlia seedlings! Almost all are excellent candidates for cut flowers with great stems. We had about 40 dark leaf seedlings at the outset and have kept a dozen or so to grow again. There is a good number of what we like to call “accent” candidates with blooms that are closer to 2″ in ball, formal decorative and pompon styles. Also a good number of blooms in the 4-5″ range was nice to see… a little larger, but still a perfect size for bouquets.
Wow! There are about half of those I’m absolutely in love with!
Thanks Jeanne! We had a tough time whittling down the candidates this year…we don’t normally keep as many the first year. It won’t make next year easier!
