2024 was a very good seed collection year for us! As a result, we’ve kept twice as many seedlings to grow out as we normally do in 2025! We’re pretty happy with the 2025 crew! A wonderful range of colours in these flowers! Almost all of the seedlings on this page are excellent candidates for cut flowers. We had about 40 dark leaf seedlings at the outset and have kept a dozen or so to grow again. There is a good number of what we like to call “accent” candidates with blooms that are closer to 2″ in ball, formal decorative and pompon styles. Also a good number of blooms in the 4-5″ range was nice to see… a little larger, but still a perfect size for bouquets.
Wow! There are about half of those I’m absolutely in love with!
Thanks Jeanne! We had a tough time whittling down the candidates this year…we don’t normally keep as many the first year. It won’t make next year easier!
